I Cant Feel My Legs... I HAVE NO LEGS!!!

If you don't know what I'm talking about when I say this and/or you think I sound unstable... its Cant Hardly Wait in a nutshell and it describes my achy breaky legs at the moment.... Three days of morning runs + an hour of yoga = soreness for someone who took a "break" from working out every single day for ohhh, I dunno... a month or two? HA!

On the bright sides, I LOVE IT! Yes I feel like I could nap my life away for the rest of the week and I want to live in pajamas but hey, could be worse... I could NOT have the ability to run and this feeling just proves I worked hard as ever the past few days. To me, it's worth it. :) And it also means I can have a little break tomorrow (seeing as how I'm working 11-8) ehhh...

My workout routine yesterday & today consisted of :
* 4.5 miles on Tuesday
* 30 mins Power Yoga
* 3.0 miles this morning
* 20 min Hatha Yoga
* Plus... carrying what felt like 500 lbs. of garbage to my Step Dad's truck for garbage day. Glamorous, I know, what can I say ;) And I was decked out in yoga pants, Uggs, oversized sweater, and a whole lotta yesterday's makeup... I'm really really cute.
I also had the chance to try out a NEW Clif Bar...
I am officially a huuuuge huge fan (otherwise known as addicted to) of the Oatmeal Raisin Walnut one - everything you guys have been saying about these is true. Heated up in the micro for a mere 15 seconds and these go from plain old granola bar to the most delicious "cookie" I've had in a while.... Half of one of these heated up is enough sweetness for my dessert, which I love about them ! I tried the White Chocolate Macadamia Nut last night and Holyyyyy BaJeeez... flavor explosion is all I can say. A+ in my book!

I experimented and used 1/2 of a Clif in my oatmeal Tuesday morning...

In my yummy bowl:
* 1/2 c. oats
* 1 c. water
* Dash of cinnamon
* Splash of skim milk
* Handful of raisins
* 1/2 a Clif bar crumbled

Yummmmmmmm.... the Clif bar pieces melted down just a bit from the heat of the oats and turned into warm cookie pieces...

Paired with Coffee & a splash of FF cream...it was heaven for breakfast

Sucked.

For lunch I wanted to use up the rest of the sauteed veggies I had from the night before and was craving hummus at the same time... Enter the sauteed veggie, hummus, and whole wheat wrap.

Ta-Daaaaa!

Roasted red pepper hummus went perfectly with the veggies... I was so full I didn't even add the salad I was originally planning to go along side it. Ooops.

Once again.....sucked.

After lunch I got ready and headed up to visit my boyfriend at school.... His university is about an hour and a half away so it's kinda tough to get up there as much as I'd like (boo!) and before I left I was genious enough to think... "He's in college... there's more than likely NOT going to be anything I want to eat up there...."
AKA Pack Food you WANT to eat... so I did.

Meatless Taco Salad for Dinner:
Threw together baby spinach, field greens, chopped tomatoes, avocado, red onion, pinch of shredded cheddar, and a crumbled HOMEMADE (no big deal...) black bean burger on top
Drizzle of mild taco sauce and a dollop of sour cream
Hummus with Red Bell Pepper slices on the side
Delicious and SO much better than attempting to order something "healthy" from the restaurants that surround campus aka you can have 1) Deep fried (and I mean DEEP fried ehhhh) wings 2) chinese or 3) gigantic calzones.
No, no, andddd no thanks.
Went to the Brewery with my boo after dinner, which is my FAV restaurant up in the area and I miss it sooo much when I'm stuck at home :( and got the Working WOman's Wheat. Yea, ya heard!!!! Phenom in a Glass.
AND watched the Sox beat on some Angels.

Brought my own breakfast along too!
After my early morning 3 miler around campus I made sure I brought a good breaky with me to keep me going until I got home later that day...
*1/2 c. Vanilla yogurt
*Sprinkle of granola with almonds
*Raisins
*Spoonful all-natural PB
Can I just say, I never ever thought of adding Peanut Butter to my yogurt until I saw it on Lora's breakfast recap the majority of the days and thought.... yeahhh, theres no way that can go wrong.... and to me it tasted like the peanut butter flavor you get from PB ice cream or even a PB cup.
Soooooo so good.
Coming from someone who doesn't really do chocolate or anything overly sweet for breakfast, this totally chaged my perspective!!!!!

On the way home grabbed the usual:
Tall Hazelnut coffee with a splash of milk and sprinkle of cinnamon (along with my toe thumb)... warmed me right up :)

Inspired by Tyler I wanted to post a few keepers of my own when it comes to running music (these are just from today's run):
- "Sex on Fire" Kings of Leon
- "Corduroy" Pearl Jam
- "Magic" LadyHawke
- "My Kinda Lover" Billy Squier
- "Let Me Think About It" Ida Corr
Give em a try!
Hope you're all having a fantastic Hump Day and if you're in New England like me, hope you're loving the Fall weather!! It's beautiful!!!! Time for a little Wife Swap/icing my legs... hooray. Xo
