Revisiting the Fitch & a Not-so-Manic Monday

My Monday was sooo far from manic, crazy, out of control... in fact, it was the complete opposite. I hope you all had a fabulous day today... the majority of my time was spent running errands, putting some hard work in at la gymnasium, and expanding my techno music collection by revisiting some well-known playlists.

Ohhh Abercrombie & Fitch... sometimes I miss you.

Yes..I admit it...I worked at the lovely establishment for over a year... Bustin out to techno, folding my jean walls to a "T" and getting awesome discounts on clothes that just fall apart a month later anyway. Good times.

Onto the good stuff.....

When I finally decided what I wanted for breakfast, I was psyched for it... PB & the Pear Hazelnut spread that I've been raving about!

Headed off to the Gym shortly after...


45 mins. treadmill ~ 3.9 miles ~ 460 calories


My legs were working against me today, unfortunately... The run was a little difficult. I ALWAYS need to start off with a short, brisk walk to warm them up, which I did, and once I started running I just felt weighed down for some reason. I experience this feeling time to time for the first mile or so and after that it's usually easy-squeezy.... for lack of a better term haha. But today it was just NOT happening... I was able to push myself long enough to get my regular 45 minute workout but there were at least two power-walking/stretching breaks during that time which was a little disappointing to me...


But Hey... we all have our off days right?


I didn't let it get me down. At least I was able to do as much as I did! And I was proud of myself for pushing through the original feeling I had of "You're tired today... your legs don't wanna work... just STOP" No thanks, I'll keep going ;)



Went shopping... per usual... I need to quit my food shopping habit. You know somethings off when a girl who loooooves her mall trips is now visiting the local Stop & Shop more often than she's in Forever 21... just for example... because I'm going through withdrawal haha.


But I did pick up some yum-yums:
3 Bars for me to enjoy this week!
~ Clif MOJO PB Pretzel (I loved this one last time & had to get it again!)
~ Chocolate Chip Z-Bar (Had this as a snack today & it was delicious... just like a chewy chocolate chip cookie... I guess Cookie Friday come early HA)
~ Toasted Nuts n' Cranberry LUNA bar (Can't wait to try this one... anyone had it before???)


Snacked on my favorite little green friend on the way home...

And then made a late lunch... we're talkin 430pm. Ahhh, I've gotta stop scheduling my gym trips so late in the afternoon... I end up eating lunch SO late and then dinner even later. It's confusing my stomach haha...


Made a salad first...
Veggie Fiesta over hurrr!
Lettuce. Carrots. Zucchini. Tomatoes. Avocado. Annies Honey Mustard.


And made a quick side dish to go with it....

Stuffed Portabella Mushroom...
With 1 Light French Onion Laughing Cow cheese
Topped with Rinaldi Tomato & Basil sauce
Sprinkle of Parmesan cheese


Baked it in the oven at 375 for about 15 or 20 minutes...
Soooo yummy!!!


Jilly-Bean surprised me when she came home from work with a PRESENT for me!!

New Yoga mat!! Yayaaaa!!!!!
I was overly excited about it as you can tell taking a picture with this blue beauty....
My fav color too; Oh Jilly you know me too well.

Dinner was such a random choice...
I think I can blame it on my weird meal times today...
I was craving eggs like no other & HAD to have them..


I had:
3 egg whites scrambled with salt & peppahhh
Sauteed a few mushrooms and diced onions
All on top of 1/2 of an Arnold thin


I had Pear Hazelnut spread on the other 1/2 (can you say OBSESSED?)


It was perfect...
Exactly what I wanted and when I want breakfast for dinner, I GET IT! ;)


Do you guys every get random cravings for breakfast items at dinner or dinner items at breakfast??


It doesn't happen to me too often but at least once or twice a month I need eggs for dinner!




The sweet tooth kicked in about an hour later...
One BlueBran Vitatop muffin .. warmed to perfection
Small scoop of After Dark Chocolate Stonyfield FF Froyo!
nom.nom.nom.nom.




Hope you're all having a magnificoooo week so far...
Just think we're ONE day closer to the weekend!!!! :)


And before I go....
What do you use for mental motivation when your head tells you to STOP but your body knows you can keep it up?

  1. I love portabella mushroom they are soo good! My dad makes some clearing stuffings to put on/in them. MY legs were working against me the other day on my run it was so difficult to keep on going! Hopefully they are better for the next elliptical sesh!

    nice job on the treadmill!!...all the new bars you got are great! the Clif Mojo one esp! its a perfect balance of salty and sweet and everything you want in a bar!

    the vita dessert sounds perfect! I need to try a vita SOON! for mental motivation I always think about other people out there who are not working as hard as me and then I say in my head i KNOW i can do this and finish it and thinka bout how good you will feel after!
